All tenure acquisition and other property requirements for projects including compulsory acquisitions, State land dealings, reserve land dealings, public utility easements and native title clearances.
Project Approvals
All necessary planning and development, environmental and other statutory
approvals. We also conduct planning appeals and other review processes where required and assist with project coordination under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act, 1971 (Qld).

Negotiations and documentation for the raising of capital and advice on other commercial and taxation issues specific to projects.
Project Construction
Procurement, tendering and contracting advice at the front end and project specific dispute resolution services at the back-end. We advise on and document BOOT, BOO, BRT/BLT and PPP projects.

For over a century we have assisted with public sector projects, including those by Government Departments and Government Owned Corporations. MacDonnells Law today advises private sector and joint public/private proponents in Queensland.
Focus Industries
Water
We assisted with the raising of Lenthall's Dam and the Southern Regional Water Pipeline.
Energy
Our lawyers have advised on construction and maintenance of major power plants. We assisted with a remote area powerstation project and have experience with coal mines, coal seam gas projects and gas pipelines in the Surat and Bowen basins.
Waste Management
We were the lead advisors on the FNQ Regional Waste Management Strategy and assisted with a number of regional landfills.
Transport
We advised on all Cairns international and domestic airport expansion projects and the Townsville Ocean Terminal.
Land Development
We are currently advising on headworks and other development infrastructure issues for over a dozen significant residential and industrial
projects throughout Queensland.
Community infrastructure
On a Statewide basis, we supply legal services for local government projects of all kinds. We enjoy a close association with the Institute of Public Works Engineers Australia (Queensland Branch).
