ANOTHER STEP FORWARD FOR MACDONNELLS SOLICITORS
In May 2006 MacDonnells Solicitors will merge with Townsville’s most progressive business law firm, Suthers Taylor Lawyers, making MacDonnells Solicitors one of the largest firms in Townsville and one of the top 10 firms in the State.
Russell Beer, MacDonnells Solicitors Chairman of Partners, said the merger provided tremendous benefits to the clients, lawyers and personnel of both firms and was a major step toward the firm’s vision to deliver a seamless service throughout Queensland.
“The merger highlights our commitment to the Townsville region and to providing our clients with the strongest capability across an extensive range of service and areas of expertise,” said Mr Beer.
“Suthers Taylor is a very comfortable fit, complementing our existing operations as well as adding strengths in the areas of business law, property, town planning and dispute resolution.”
Suthers Taylor founding partner, Barry Taylor, said that with the firm’s growing position in the Queensland market they had been looking for links with a firm that reflected its vision to be ‘advisors to business and partners in success’.

From March 2006, the Townsville partners and personnel of MacDonnells will relocate to Suthers Taylor’s offices at 131 Denham Street, Townsville.
